2025 AIA North Color Guard Championships Performance Order Procedure
Performance order within each class will depend on the number of competing units. A final schedule will be released following the second to last contest.
- For classes with five or fewer units, the performance order will be randomized.
- For classes between six and twelve units, the performance order will be seeded into halves and randomized and performance time will be released with the preliminary schedule. If the number of units is not divisible by two, the larger half will be the bottom half.
- For classes with thirteen or more units, the performance order will be determined by seeding, and then divided into rounds. Each round will be then divided in half and randomized.
- In order to compare scores from different contests and account for growth, the score that each unit receives at its final AIA contest will be scaled by the formula below. This is the final score with any penalties applied, but would not be a score of 0 from a no show.
- The scaled scores will be ordered from lowest to highest and then depending on the size of the class will be divided into halves and randomized or divided into rounds.
- If a unit is reclassified after their final regular-season contest and have no comparable score in the new class (SRA1 to A3 or IRA to IA), the unit will be included in the bottom half.
- If a unit is competing in any AIA South shows, then the comparable AIA South show from that weekend will be used to determine seeding score.
