Key Dates
Spring of 2027
The 2028 Event Partner application opens for the season. Applications remain open all summer.
Late August / Early September
Event hosts are chosen in time to prepare for the fall meeting schedule announcement.
How Event Partners Are Selected
The North & South EBODs review the following when selecting event partners for the season:
- 1Completeness of the event partner application
- 2Timeliness of the application relative to when a host is needed for that date/location
- 3Quality and location of the contest site, and whether it can accommodate guard, percussion, and winds units
- 4Whether the event partner can provide enough volunteers to run a successful contest
- 5Feedback from the previous season's event feedback questionnaires
- 6Input from the Judge Coordinators
- 7Needs of the performing community
- 8Evenly distributed locality to serve all regions of our competing units
